Bubutu Health Centre III Staff Arrested Over Theft

A 38-year-old guy who has been a guard at Bubutu Health Center III is being held by police in Namisindwa district on suspicion of stealing.

The suspect has been identified as Andrew Musoba, a native of Namisindwa district’s Bumulika parish in Bubuti Sub County.

The health center’s printer went missing, so the community began looking for it, according to Moses Mutambo, the LCIII chairperson of the Bubutu Town Council.

He continues by saying that they obtained it from an individual they apprehended (names withheld). The man was arrested on Sunday, December 3, 2023, after disclosing that he had purchased the printer from Musoba.

Additionally, according to Mutambo, Musoba was moved to Bumbo Health Center III three months ago for petty crimes including drug theft, but he has been entering the facility unlawfully.

The two are currently being held at the Namisindwa Central Police Station, according to Imuran Muluga, the Namisindwa Resident District Commissioner, who verified the arrest.

He thanked the community for assisting security in apprehending the two and said they will face accusations of pilfering public property in court.
