Background

ChildFund Uganda, with funding from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is implementing the I-LEAP/KOICA HDP-N Project.
The project aims to:

  • Enhance Early Childhood Development (ECD) infrastructure.

  • Strengthen community livelihoods through sustainable agricultural development in Palorinya Refugee Settlement, Obongi District.

Scope of Works

Lot 1: Construction and Renovation of ECD Facilities

  • Construction of two (2) new classroom blocks at Sacred Heart and Salvation ECD Centres.

  • Construction of a one 5-stance latrine at Sacred Heart ECD Centre.

  • Renovation of existing classroom blocks at Sinai and Salvation ECD Centres.

Lot 2: Construction of a Central Livestock and Poultry Farm

  • Modern integrated farm structure to support chicken breeding and goat rearing.

  • Facility components include:

    • Water supply system.

    • Feed preparation and storage areas.

    • Offices.

    • Fencing.

    • Power supply.

  • The farm will be equipped with modern facilities, machinery, and farm inputs such as:

    • Breeding stock for chickens and goats.

    • Feeds.

    • Medicines.

    • Vaccines.

    • Other veterinary supplies.

Tender Instructions

  1. Lot Application Guidelines:

    • Bidders may apply for one or both lots.

    • Each lot requires a separate and complete submission.

  2. Bid Document Purchase:

    • Detailed tender documents available upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 50,000.

    • Payment and document collection locations:

      • ChildFund Moyo Field Office, Multi-Purpose in Maduga Village, Moyo Municipality, Moyo District.

      • ChildFund Country Office, Plot 71/72, Namirembe Road, Kampala.

  3. Document Collection Schedule:

    • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 am – 05:30 pm.

    • Friday: 08:00 am – 02:00 pm.

  4. Pre-Bid Site Visit:

    • A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

    • Meeting point: ChildFund Moyo Field Office.
