The latest trend in wearable technology is smart rings—discreet health trackers worn on your finger.
Following the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Ring earlier this year, its successor, the Galaxy Ring 2, is reportedly on the horizon.
According to DigiTimes, the new device will debut at Samsung Unpacked 2025, the tech giant’s annual hardware event.
The Galaxy Ring 2 is expected to bring significant upgrades, including a seven-day battery life, enhanced health tracking sensors, two additional size options, and improved AI capabilities.
These enhancements aim to strengthen Samsung’s position against the Oura ring, a market leader since 2013.
Despite some limitations in its first iteration, the Galaxy Ring earned praise as the best smart ring for Android users, thanks to its advanced AI for sleep analysis and seamless integration with Samsung’s ecosystem.
While the date for Samsung Unpacked 2025 has not been officially confirmed, leaks suggest the event will occur on January 22, 2025.
However, similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Ring 2 might not ship immediately, following a potential months-long gap between announcement and release.
Alongside the smart ring, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 smartphone series and possibly its first-ever smart glasses, making it a highly anticipated event for tech enthusiasts.
