The National Unity Platform (NUP) has accused renowned musician Alien Skin of orchestrating an attack on its Kavule headquarters early Saturday morning.

“At 3:15 a.m., a group led by Alien Skin breached the NUP premises, threatened the security guard, and defaced our walls with provocative graffiti,” the party said in a statement.

NUP shared CCTV footage allegedly showing a group arriving in three vehicles to carry out the attack. The party condemned the incident, calling it a recurring tactic to disrupt opposition activities, especially during election seasons.

“It’s unfortunate that some individuals allow themselves to be used as tools of suppression, reminiscent of figures like Sipapa, Sobi, Zebra, and Kitatta. Such actions only serve to undermine democracy,” the statement added.

This accusation follows recent controversies involving Alien Skin, including allegations of storming Nsambya Hospital, where staff reported intimidation and disruption. Alien Skin was arrested for that incident but later released on bail.

Once celebrated for his musical contributions, Alien Skin’s growing association with politically charged incidents has sparked concerns. While he has not publicly addressed the latest allegations, the situation has reignited discussions about the intersection of art and politics in Uganda.

Authorities have yet to comment, but calls for a thorough investigation are growing as the nation approaches the 2026 general elections. Incidents like these highlight fears of escalating political tensions in the months ahead.
