These electric buses, equipped with modern e-payment systems, deliver a world-class travel experience while addressing key issues like carbon emissions and traffic congestion. Designed to be affordable and reliable, the E-Bus Xpress is a practical solution for the everyday commuter, earning praise from Iganga residents for its convenience and cost-effectiveness.

One resident remarked, “These buses are for us, the common people—they are affordable and reliable.”

Passengers can pay for tickets via mobile money, eliminating the need for cash. Users can purchase transport cards easily by dialing 21788# and selecting option 4. This system aligns with global trends in contactless payments, offering enhanced convenience.

In addition to improving transportation, the initiative is creating jobs for drivers, mechanics, and support staff, with many locals already applying at the Jinja and Iganga branches. The E-Bus Xpress represents a significant leap forward in modernizing Uganda’s public transport system.
